New Topics and Old Favorites – September Classes at the Lab

Upcoming September 2014 Classes

September 13th – Pinterest (Saturday) at 10 a.m. – Pinterest is an online social bookmarking page where you can find, save, and share internet pages that you like so you can find them quickly. ($25)

September 16th – Creativity Workshop 2014 (Tuesdays) at 1:00 p.m. – This is the second of four Workshops that started in August. Students must like to play with layers with an interest in new ways to express your photos. ($40 for four sessions)

September 18th – iPad®– (Thursday) at 9:30 a.m. – This class will help you “get more out of your iPad” and make it a fun and useful device. ($25)

newSeptember 18th – Good Eats in the Cloud (Thursday) at 1:00 p.m. – This is a specialized class to help find recipes, catalog them, and or use ingredients that you have to find the perfect recipe. ($10)

newSeptember 19th – Communicating with Technology (Friday) at 1:00 p.m. – This class will overview five popular online/mobile communication applications: Skype, Gmail, Google Hangout, Texting, FaceTime. ($25)

newSeptember 24th – Frames and Masks – the Basics (Wednesday) at 10:00 a.m. – This is a specialized class covering the principles of adding layers to a photo. ($25)

newSeptember 25th – Understanding Your Computer (Thursday) at 9:30 a.m. – This class will cover some basics about your Windows 7 or 8 computer; finding files, documents and phones and much more. ($25)

newSeptember 25th – Close-up Photography (Thursday) at 1:00 p.m. – In this workshop, Doug Miller will walk you through the equipment, techniques, and concepts that will help you produce the best results when taking a close up photos of a variety of subjects ($25)

newSeptember 29th – onOne Perfect Photo Suite 8 (Monday) at 1:00 p.m. – This is a specialized class to understand all the aspects of the program. Its specialty is cloning and masking. ($25)

newSeptember 30th – Finding Free Software (Tuesday) at 9:30 a.m. – This class will cover how to investigate if free software is safe, which ones are valuable for use, and where to find these deals. ($25)
