Windows 8 and Other Musings

Tired of fighting Windows 8 start screen!!!!
Do you want your Windows 8 start up to look like Windows 7 or something you are more familiar with? With 8.1, there is a new option to boot to the Desktop rather than the Start Screen.

When you see your taskbar on the bottom of your desktop, right-click on it and choose Properties, then click on the Navigation

The setting outlined in red is the main one, but you may want to change the others as well. Click “apply” to make the changes permanent.

Did you know that more than 3/4 of all Americans over the age of 13 own a smartphone? Are you getting the most out of yours?

More photos are taken with a phone rather than a point and shoot camera as of 2014. Where are they stored, can you make a postcard, send an email, post to your friends on Facebook? I hope so. Samsung is coming out with their Samsung 6 Edge camera this Friday. The tech talk is more about the camera in the phone than the quality of the calls. Why is that? The phones are always with us, from taking a picture of your car license to have in case you need to reference it, find the new cabinet that most looks like your old one, or a missing light bulb part that you want the Home Depot to find for you. They have become a part of your life.

The bluebonnets are copious and beautiful right now.
